How can you use it?
We just read a story about a two children that have become penpals and one is a victim of a natural disaster. This child is from Chile and lives on a grape farm. I Am going to work towards having my students write to a class of students from another part of the contury. The culmination of this penpal unit would be to hold a video conference with a the classroom of children that we have been writing to.
Be sure to provide multiple curricular applications
Why would you use it?
This can add to cultural and social understanding. There are so many children that do not have the oppertunity to travel and experience other cultures experiences.
Using this tool can be time consuming but very benificial.
